I didn't realize how many Shirts I had accumulated - When I worked "away" driving home late on Friday night, an Having to leave home during Sun Night/Mon Morn didn't leave much time for Laundry, thus I accumulated vast numbers of Shirts... My iron is somewhere under the "Pending" box.

Paper Hankerchiefs??? A certain Nurse ("Control of infection officer") reckoned that Paper was fine in winter, and open fires were de-regour. Use once and Burn....

You could go through them and throw out the worn out and the ones you don't like. Then you'd only have a few. If you get them out of the machine and hang them up. they probably won't need ironing when they're dry.

It may be my natural mean-ness. I remeber right from Childhood hor one throws Nothing away - any paper wrappings and string was Folded and kept for future use, Shoes that have finished their useful lives, were only discarded after saving the Laces. Furniture/Toys/all Others left offs. Afraid It just goes against the grain to dispose of something that wasn't tottaly useless... Chucking clothes away and then replacing them in a few years time.... AAAerrrrgghhhhhh

So sorry. There are charity shops often in aid of the Hospice movement. They operate on charitable funds as they aren't part of the NHS. I have a card with them so that I can gift aid the proceeds of what they raise. The things that can't be sold can go for rag, recycled for the material.

It's snowing here, but only odd flakes. It isn't settling here yet, but threatens to do so overnight. I went to an orchestra rehearsal, 4 instruments and a piano, or vice versa. It may snow too much to go to the church tomorrow anyway, but one of the violinists was playing his cello, and another instrumentalist was playing an electronic oboe. I thought I might have taken the viola, but would have been more disastrous on that than the violin. Then I went to the village by the stream for Cassie's walk, via the library, where there was nowhere to park . After the walk/hobble I went back to the Library, but it was closed.

Apols for absence... I have been bust arm-wresting the GP, NHS, Local Go.. I took solace in the Coffeeshop in the Arcade (Sorry "Mall"), but I'm on a limited coffee/tea Diet so had to slurp water. I got accosted by an elderley lady. She introduced herself because I looked like someone who used to walk pat her house (I think she lives down Mr Legs way) because she thought I had a wife who no longer accompanies him, so was sympathising?
Whatever the reason she got me tied up with her NHS proplems. Think I'll have a relapse.. I mean a Relax.

I had an expert comb my laptop for rubbish the other day. I'm still restoring things that got lost, but I'm not sure how to restore my replaced passwords when I migrated to Edge from Firefox because of an earlier problem. I've changed a fair few, but I think Firefox is better and easier to use, so I'd like to go back.

The Lady with NHS Problems is mainly Transport - She has been sent to the next town with a Hospital that has no Bus Service: Although she has Difficulty walking (which is why she needs that particular Hospital), she manages without a wheelchair - she has a shopping barrow that she has to lean on to walk - so they wouldn't supply Transport. All I could do was to Find a bus timetable to get to that distant Town Centre, and a list of taxi firms there.

Co-incidentally, I had a Previous involvement with that Hospital. I did several Contracts with N E Thames Regional Area Health Authority. In one of the Many NHS reorganisation, several of the groups within each District merged into one and declaired "Independance" Districts from The Region so I had a later contract with them. One of their sites had been a pre-NHS existant - very different to the "modified work-houses" that most of the hospitals had been. It was built and owned by a Benefactor for the People of that borough. The specialised purposes of the later developments meant that the equipment needed for theier specialities a bigger catchment so would have to serve not merely the populace of the original small area of the borough, but all the housing built in the surrounds, and the larger combined Districts, but also to accept the needs of a Wider combined District who needed their specialties. .. and of course vise-versa for the locals needs elsewhere.
Thus the "Community Hospital for the Locals" no longer fitted so it was to close and the Land/buildings returned to the successors of the original Benefactors. (those successors were thinking of a refuge/respite/etc, or a retirment home). Seems like it didn't work and the NHS now own it? (The lovely old Building is now a more easily managed building? I'm told the Gardens are still well preserved - I would have liked a "nose round" to see what they've done.

I have used Firefox for some years and found it more "user friendly" that some of the others - but of course, they do have to update from time-to-time which seems to me, to be adjustments to connections with others.

Gotta get back to arm wreestling. Royal Mail doing something (which I think is illegal) - all invilved with the Council's attempts to change addresses and house numbers (that The High Court - and The Law - has disallowed). I can no longer get mail that is properley addressed to me: (Three attempts to get a new Bank Card, or a Legal Polling Address)... Several letters to draft - but I wionder if I'll get an answer?

You are really having a tough time. Living in such a strange corner of the country must make it 10 times harder. These dizzying changes of misrule must have something to do with it. Wouldn't it be nice to own your own bus company and devise routes from hospitals to convenient other places? Say Co-op shops, and having a bank of safe deposit boxes for mail regarded as undeliverable.

Got some Mail to send in Complaint to Ombudsman, BUT.... I won't get a reply so I want to send my e-mail address and mobile number , BUT, I needs to top up my e-mail and Mobile contractsm but they each charge me via Bank card, But, I lost the card when I fell during the Snow. I can't renew it because my mail doesn't get here. This needs a re-think. Just to make it even worse, I seem to have mislaid my phone: True I might reteive it if I phone the number and to this end. I have resurrected a former phone - so It is now being recharged. I'm now off to the Bank to get some money... Do I need a third Problem..? Yup. A have another Bank card (When I worked one needed to pay accom bill and buy petrol on ones last day - it was useful to have a second bank if one wasn't working), I tried it yesterday and it wouldn't work, might be a Bank Problem but I must sort it - no idea how I could get a new card posted to me...

Just read what an awful year Steve Rudd in Faceache has had this year - I'm beginning to feel the same. At least He got a 02:30 call that His dog was found.

Your troubles seem to come in threes.

I woke up this morning to find my internet browser had stopped working. After some help online, I managed to get in woth Explorer, but swiftly moved to Google Chrome. I seem to have spent most of the day changing passwords. I imported all my websites and sign ons and they are a total mess, but I've moved the ones I really wanted to a toolbar.

I also did another gig at the community hospital. So I'll be glad to go to bed. I have a meeting at 10 am and a leaving do in the afternoon for someone I've never met. I think I'll look in, then bow out swiftly. The gardener is due to come and finish the patio, but if he does the grouting as well, I'll be very surprised. He's top of the list to go under it, after Trump and Blair. There should be room for all three.

Yup, These Computeration machines are part useful and part Demons. I shall not be pretentious enough to know how to beat the damn machines.

Equally, I Know very little about patio making... Nor do I know who is Buried under it ... Which reminds me, I have not seen Neighbours Wife or child since He was beating her outside in the courtyard outside my doorstep a month or so, ago.
