Just us again then. I went to buy the black paint to tart up my bistro set. The fun of applying straight masking tape to a round table is an interesting prospect. Maybe cardboard cut to shape will have to be used.

It's not tatty yet, but it will have to be done soon.

Thanks, An Tarbh Dubh. I do seem to have got back: Much thanks - I have not dabbled with Pooter today. There seems to have been a "Major collapse" with my Firefox account and I may have to delete some stuff and reload my Links - is anybody techy enough to explain that an earlier pooter used to find all my Links when pressing a Bookmark button, and it woukld log in - current pooter needs me to remember each Board Name and Password for every link.

I have been reluctant to "dabble" Computer this week this week as I have a lot of links that I need to keep in touch. I have mentioned ("mentioned" - bore you to death more like) that My House address was Changed by my Local Council. It was illegal and the address should be restored, BUT.. having no address shown on Polling details), thus not shown on a Royal mail address, hence no Bank Cards, Statements or Cheque books (Thus I can't receive annual Pension update, NOR the docket that I have to return proving thart I'm still alive), but I can Get no Credit Ref... which is tricky as my Credit Union has gone Belly-up, so have no finance (incl Phone and pooter a/c. .. I'm going "off piste".. What I was getting to that quite apart lack of pooter is Killing my access to sundry "help" organisations, is that there is A Local Council Election today, And I am relying of the rep for this ward being helpful, so I'm tracing the Election results carefully - A Low turnout (which it is) is not looking promising.

Thats a simplification.. Hospital records are different now betwixt Hosp, and Doc... NO I'll say no more: You have suffered enough.

What Black Paint did you get, Rwth? Is your Bistro an outdoor Cooker, or indeed, does it get hot al all.... ?

It was/is a tiled table and chairs. It doesn't get any hotter than any metal left out in all weathers. I bought some Dulux gloss for wood and metal used outdoors. It used nearly a jam jar of paint, including the spots that dropped on the recycled patio. We dug up the foundations of the old sheds and relaid another course on the front. I'll have to clean the spots off before the gardener comes on Tuesday. I think that repainting them before they really needed it was a good idea. As for the Hospital/GP records I think you've suffered enough.

I do hope your Councillor is able to work miracles very soon. I wonder what part of 'High Court Judgement' they don't understand.
I got tired of Firefox and tried Edge, but finally moved to Google Chrome. I'm having to reset a lot of passwords, but it does remember the new ones.

The Counciller is no longer my Counciller, following Yesterdays Election.
Trouble with High Court is a) I wasn't there and don't have any Legal knowledge, and b) The Bloke who took Council to Court had a Stroke after all this agro, So I wont involve him although the (noe EX) counciller was involved. It might be useful to try my Insurers Legals could be the same outfit as Stroke man and Councillers.
As soon as I can sort out Pootering, I'm looking into the Legal cover on my House Insurance.
Don't know much about Dulux - Did you hear "You an Yours re Dulux"? Hope yours is OK. Was Thinking about Hammerite, - Looks like old fashioned Stove enamey, but there's a "Smoothright" variety now. (Good for Park Railings and Armstrong Siddeley Chassis) But not certain of Barbecues - Seems to be Cellulose. (You cant solve Smootheright brushes in White Spirit - they don't "mix").

It was Valspar from B & Q on You and Yours. The gardener and man in Builders merchant said Hameriten at first, but I wanted gloss. The builders merchant man agreed that this was a suitable solution. It's not a barbecue, just wrought iron framed round tiled Bistro table and matching chairs. I'll get Turps or suitable cleaner. I'm not convinced about white spirit, but will listen to advice. Washing up liquid and sugar might do it after a bit of sandpapering.

Once the High Court has ruled, it goes into legal precedent and applies to any LA that tries it. You just quote the name of the case and they have to try and wriggle out of the strait jacket. You don't have to involve anyone else. If you are with the same insurer you were using when the council made the illegal change, yes the legal cover should apply. Maybe they'd do it now anyway, if only to get their premiums paid. Only fortifying you against disappointment. There's probably one obstinate bod on the LA who is digging his heels in. It will be someone in the potholes department probably, who buys the black paint for road signs.

I'd feel happier re the High Court If I actually had a Case ref number, and seen the written Judgemenent .. The only ref I have is the missives from the (ex) counciller. I don't even have the (local) Press report. That's why I want a Legal Eagle to take up Cudgels. At Present I have Complaints with UKGOV Ombudsman (re NHS), and Post Office (Which I have to try before Going on to UKGOV Royal Mail Ombudsman).. But Lack of E-mail compootering is finding finding all my "in process" documents. I also needs these missives to follow up Bank Suggestion to work on Banking Ombudsman, and Find what extra details Noddle were asking for. I really must resurrect e-mails Link.
In the days when I "worked" and had a bundle of processes in use, I'd get Works solicitor involved (or with Ropyal mail jobs, with the Bloke in command of "Treason" - they had weird rules with mail I got threatened with Tower of London when I wanted to delay a Postman to count his delivery!), but my poor addled brain is not working so well now. (thinks: never suffer a "stroke").

Re Mail Delivery: I applied both to The Post Office, and Royal Mail. The Former quickly responded that it wasn't their fault so they referred (as I expected) for Royal Mail to respond to The Post Office request. My own complaint to Royal Mail was deliberately without e-mail address or Phone number, so that they would HAVE to resussetate mail delivery to answer. I did get a response from The Electoral Register - but it was posted through my letterbox with the fake address - so I had to return it RTS as Wrong address.

I think I'll await a Missive from ex-counciller before I resurrect matters with the "New" (different Party) Counciller. Strweth this is all Hard work. I did get (I might have mentioned this) a Confirmation of The (now) current insurance renewal, and I got (by e-mail) the 48 page insurance spec, that I must study to see exactly what Legal extent they cover - or more precisely, exactly what elements of the multi problems are most likely be in their legal catchment.

It's progress of a kind. It must be so frustrating to have to return real mail addressed wrongly. I first joined the Post Office before it split into Post and Telecomms. I had to sign lots of papers with blood curdling threats if I delayed the post, but I wasn't ever involved with the postal side.

I have to go shopping this afternoon for our Dawn Chorus Walk tomorrow. In two minds about providing teacakes as well as bacon sandwiches. There's a couple of BBQ pits on site, and at 6 am we should have them to ourselves. The walk starts at 4.15 am. Think of me, then roll over and go back to sleep.

A bit slow taking up cudgels after Some unwellness, and Not straightening troublesome Password problems.
I did some work for Royal Mail - Mainly evaluating Auto reading of Manually written addresses. If one could sort faster, then one could accept receipt of slower/cheaper input. i.e., Train instead of aircraft, Lorry instead of train. - despite the cessation of Mobile Sorting Trains, Mail is still delivered by rail - Just in Boxcars presorted. Royal Mail didn't want space in Eurostars - so the space was given to Pedal Cycles. The first Eurostars - now all broken up - Royal Mail sent Lorry load of stuff in Channel Tunnel Trains.
I also worked for Parcelforce... I remember somebody who was expecting a parcel, on a phone panicking that the delay in getting Caravan Spares to a Garage was delaying/cancelling his Holiday. Foreman shrugged his shoulders and said "Not my fault". Then I did a job for TNT (Thompson's the Dutch parcel firm albeit in GB). They also had a late receipt of a parcel ... The Foreman told his storeman to take his car and get the parcel delivered before 09:00: Totally different ethos.

I hope you are feeling better now. I've had a couple of days, needing to rest. A minor attack on Sunday, then after a night on Netflix followed by a very busy day yesterday, with assorted crawling in and out of the car on minor errands, I'm having another rest day.

My OH at one stage in the eighties had to go to the Computer centre in Leeds to collect the payslips for the whole of BT's Midland Region. He'd meet colleagues in the Region from 5 of the 7 different areas on his way back to hand over their share of the slips to get them made up in cash locally. One night there was a a lot of thick fog and he was crawling up the A1M for hours, then the same thing on the way back. You can imagine how glad I was when they went over to BACS payments.

A friend of his who was an expert in electronics got sent all over the country to repair them. Because he seemed to be the only one capable of coping with the big fancy ones, he would get a call to go to Kent, then to Scotland. He decided to stop after a few near misses on the grounds that he would get killed on the motorway sooner or later.

Your Comments of timesheets reminds me of a near-neighbour. He seems to be some sort of Manager carries his Briefcase from Van to Home. His wife Usually opens the house door for His Enormous Great Big Lovable Alsatian to Great him. If he is delayed picking up the last dregs of workman's timesheets into clipboard and briefcase The dog can't wait and tips him off his seat to greet him. His boots aloft and Head under the seat... Latterly He keeps the Van Door closed until the paperwork is sorted - The Damn Dog is still so enthused to see his master coming home so chases around trying to draw any passer-by into the excitement - Two damn great forepaws attached to an eight stone dog hit me in the back one day and knocked me flying...

About 8 weeks ago I borrowed a book from the library. One of several, but it vanished. I looked under the bed, under the car seats then gave in and bought a new one to replace it. When it arrived I read it and put it with the library books to donate with deep apologies. I found the library copy on my bookshelf and put it in the library bag to return today. When I got there it wouldn't scan. Yes, it was my copy and the library copy is still on the bed!

I hope you have recovered from your encounter with the dog GLO. I'm sure they should have picked you up and administered tea and sympathy.

I'm not really a dog Lover, but Alsations are special. Many Many Many years ago, I went with my Mother to a Breeder out on a Farm to see the Alsatians and eventually bought a pup. But on that day of visiting, The dogs gathered around us before we got to the Cottage - and Barked until Dog Lady came out in response to the Barking. From once having introduced us to the owner, these dogs became incredibly friendly - Too friendly- One of them "Heidi" liked to jump in the horse trough and was very "wet!" when she came jumping at one, and tail wagging. But One of the Bitches got a bit snappy if we went near the barn where six Pups were poking their noses out of a Vent. It seems that Dog Woman wanted the Bitch with a Litter was encouraged to get a rest from the Pups by shutting away the pups for an hour or so, so that She could socialise with the other Dogs. If Dogs could be "happy" then these certainly were.
The dog round the corner behaves Like a King size, Ginger Tom. During the Winter He was diving and chasing into Heaps of Dried Leaves.. And He is certainly not a young Pup. Problem is that One needs a Bigger House (and Bigger Garden) than I have. Mum's dog was like having a pony stamping on your Lawn.

You have reminded me to dispose of more Books to the Charity shop. Meant to go this Morning but I have been deep in other problems.
