Hi folks: a quick update on 3Wells. She was seen by additional specialists yesterday; she's being discharged tomorrow with a rather complicated cocktail of pain-killers over the next 2 weeks, and hopefully a reasonably full recovery over the next month or so. Sadly having missed most of the recent fine and sunny weather, it's back to the usual soggy sort ... but here's hoping there will be the odd sunny day in the next wee while! Maybe she hasn't missed ALL of summer!

That's fantastic news, ATD.... Thank you for passing it on to us...

Don't worry.... There will be plenty of sunshine for her.... Definitely.... Trust me... I'm a Dragon....

I should think the many bright smiles on your faces will seem like huge rays of sunshine to her as well...

Happy news for the Weekend... Yay....

BTW... Sorry Rwth... I meant to include you in my "Hello" list.... Hello...

Good Morning All,

Just on the law of averages, we're bound to have some warm sunny days, sometime.

But it won't be today (or tomorrow). It was sunny earlier but it's clouded over since it heard I was going to wash my car. :(
Tomorrows forecast is more rain.

I think there may be something to be said for early hibernations for all this year.

Hooray that you are home 3 Wells. I hope the pills work and you get plenty of rest and soon back to normal. Also lots of TLC from the animals and the black bull.

Dropping back in and out, I'm fairly occupied and don't have much time, so if I vanish I haven't taken offence.

Hello everyone, GLO, Brian, Will and the 4 dragons plus the hosts and the other occasional droppers in.

Glad that you're home Wellsy. I hope that the medication does its job and, you see much less pain. In the meantime, keep taking the tablets.

Will that be a nice double shot of gin, Twellers?

A few of those and you forget they are shingles and just treat them as a 'join the dots' puzzle.

3wells, you gotta stop taking more than your share of ailmenrts... How many pill-makers do you think there are.. Poor Bash (in peets) is seeking enough pills for moggies, give her a chance.

WAHAY.... Twellsy is back in the land of the..... Errr.... Well.... Mostly Living....

Would love to assist with distributing the itchy thing.... But we have enough shingles down here in Beautiful Bognor to start our own Shingle Enterprise Business.... Brighton might be able to use a few as they have mostly Rock.... You'll probably have to offer them a bit further afield though..... Abu Dhabi perchance... Lots of sand but not much shingle?

Wonderful to hear that you are semi hale but definitely sounding fully hearty.... Can't you palm a few of your ailments off elseboard?.... I'm sure there would be a gaggle of takers if you packaged them attractively... Complete with plenty of ready-basted/posted "Likes".... Stop being Norty, Dragon.... Tsk Tsk...

Today was mostly grey and coldish and wettish.... But we have had more than our fair share of sunny stuff and blue skies over the past months.... Including over what apparently was "Winter".... So no complaints..... But I'd be happy to trade a couple of Force 4-5's for a few gentle breezes if anybody cares to swap?... No.... Oh well.... Can't say I'm surprised...

Didn't realise Gin could turn you into an artist, Will.... Oh... Yes.... Silly me...

Apparently our Adjacent Street is having a Proper Street Party on 28th.... Luckily I know a few fellow Silly Folk on and around their corner....And a bribe of promising to mow their lawn and prune the hedges has produced a result.... We Have Invites....I wonder what we could barter for Trimming The Trees....

Mundane stuff to do and already exceeded Pooter time.... So will bid you good and luverly folk a pleasant, itch-free, pain-free(if possible) and gentle evening.... Hic... Hic... Hic...

Welcome Home Twellsy.. X

Goodnight each ..
I shall have to look up what Shingles is.. I think its one o' them things that materialise differently in different peoples.. Whatever it is, I wish you well, and hope you recover quickly to concentrate on getting other things repaired... And make sure them big pussy cats are being gentle with you.

I could take the shingles. I've had the injection so they'd just shrivel up and go away almost straightaway. They can't do everyone but if you're 71 you can have it, or if your 79 going on 80 you can have it if you didn't have it at 71. It's only been offered for about 3 years.

I'm going to the alternative Book Group. We just go with a book we have liked and recommend it with a passing description. It relieves one of the 'homework' aspect of having to read a book and report on it. The leader takes notes of all the books and emails a list for us to take to the library. It's only had two meetings and already I have read Matthew Kerr, Julian Barnes and Margaret Forster. I think I'll take one of the lovely Elizabeth Goudge books or perhaps Salley Vickers

Good afternoon All,

I've been tied up for most of today - but managed to escape, now.
It's been a murky day here. Complete with rain-showers. Who was it wanting rain for the garden? A bad idea.
Just going to do a stir-fry for my evening meal.

Evening everyone. Last couple of days have been a little busy. Yesterday it was Art Group and a decent walk before, collecting our granddaughters from school.

This morning it was a walk of over three miles before attending the Active Retirement Group. Today's talk was about the life of Isambard Kingdom Brunel, a personal hero. Strange that I should have engineers among my heroes. I was initially trained as an industrial chemist. However, I do admire Brunel.

Glad that you're home again 3W. However, I'm sorry to read that you have shingles. It can be unpleasant at the best of times and all ages. Get well friend dear friend.

The weather doesn't look good tomorrow. Originally, OH and I were going out on couple of errands. If the rain is as heavy as predicted, that may be pointless. I however, have a job of my own so, I may head out to complete that.

Enjoy your evenings all.
