Hello, I posted in the wrong thread last night.

Two of my visitors are now in Kilkee, heading to East Clare tomorrow so I have been looking at pictures and plans for a coast walk with a lot of envy. I hope to get more regular with posting if I ever get sorted. Now I must get shoes on and take the dogs for a walk while I listen to the Archers.

From Kilkee, you can take the Loop Head road ... driving, cycling, or walking (if you're up for a long walk), perhaps that's what you were looking at? It is a spectacularly beautiful place, only a short drive from where we live - I'll post some photos from just after the last big storm. Anywhere else in the world there would be car parks and visitor centres, stalls, concessions, and hands out for your cash, but on Loop Head you can just appreciate the timeless landscape in peace.
