Re: It's Monday and, I'm Back

We enjoyed river cruising. The gentle pace of the ship really dictated our pace of life. We travelled overnight on three or four occasions but, we still slept like logs. During the day we either lounged on the sun deck or before we fried, on the French Balcony in our cabin. The trips out, either by ...

It's Monday and, I'm Back

Well, in truth I've been back since Friday evening. Good morning all. So much has happened while I've been away: a General Election seems to have resulted in a complete Horlicks and, former message boards have disappeared into the ether. As for the holiday, it was (Over-used word, I know.) fabulous....

Re: Tuesday

Good morning friends. Greetings and welcome to G2S. Currently I'm in Avignon on the final full day of what has been a wonderful cruise down the River Rhône. In the past week, we have had just one 24 hour period during which the weather hasn't been warm (hot even) and sunny. The food has been out of ...

Re: Another Good Morning to All

Good morning all. Very little rain in our bit of the West Midlands and, certainly no thunder and lightning. Our bungalow is on the slopes of a hill and, look westward across the Severn Valley towards Clent the Malvern Hills. When electrical storms come up from the South we generally see them long be...

Re: Another Good Morning to All

Evening all. Must admit that I'm not feeling to bad in this weather. Not least of all, it's acting as acclimatisation for our holiday in Central Southern France beginning week. The advanced forecast for the next ten days predicts similar temperatures or warmer.

Re: Another Good Morning to All

Good afternoon everyone. I hope that dear Wellsy is on the mend. Likewise thoughts with all those who are unwell or, concerned about loved ones. Been out for a three and a half mile walk, very warm but, pleasant. GLO, I don't feel outflows at all. Just never had a glider flight but have plenty of fa...

Re: Another Good Morning to All

After the sad news from Manchester earlier today, I wasn't going to post. However, that is precisely what these terrorists want, to drive from our normal routine, prevent us taking part in activities that we enjoy and, make us hide away. I noted comments here in the last few days about Hot-air Ballo...

Re: Another Good Morning to All

Good afternoon all. Good weekend her. An Organ Recital at the Church of St John the Baptist in the grounds of Hagley Hall was most enjoyable. The soloist was Thomas Trotter, City of Birmingham's Organist. It was wonderful to hear a church organ playing something other than accompanying hymns at serv...

Re: Another Good Morning to All

Good morning to all. A lovely morning (At least at the moment) here in the Black Country. Good wishes to all of you. Busy day ahead here. We have a couple of errands postponed from yesterday, with a little light shopping en route. Maybe we'll start planting up our summer tubs and hanging baskets lat...

Re: Another Good Morning to All

Goood morning everyone. As forecast, the day has begun grey and wet here on the Western edge of the Black Country. If the forecast remains accurate, this is with us for the remainder of daylight hours. As I indicated last night, we have a couple of errands to carry out. Whether we decide to do so to...

Re: Another Good Morning to All

Evening everyone. Last couple of days have been a little busy. Yesterday it was Art Group and a decent walk before, collecting our granddaughters from school. This morning it was a walk of over three miles before attending the Active Retirement Group. Today's talk was about the life of Isambard King...

Glad that you're home Wellsy. I hope that the medication does its job and, you see much less pain. In the meantime, keep taking the tablets.

Re: Another Good Morning to All

Morning everyone. Just popped in to see if there was any news on 3Wells and, am pleased to see that, it is positive. I trust that the medication does a thorough job and she will be comfortable again really soon.

Re: Another Good Morning to All

This morning's walk was very pleasant albeit, a little truncated because of persistent drizzle. We have to bear in mind that some of our fellow walkers are 'of a certain age' and some have health problems. As such instead of more than four miles, we did a little short of three and a half. All that s...

Re: Another Good Morning to All

Good morning all. Thoughts as ever with 3Wells. Yes Dragon, I recognise you now! Sorry to read of your sight problems. Envious of your move to the coast however. It really is good to see you here. Just find this board much less depressing than the other place. It wasn't those who had genuine health ...

Re: Another Good Morning to All

Good afternoon everyone. Thoughts with 3Wells. Bits and pieces sort of day here in the Black Country. Haircut early this morning and walked there and back, managing a 3.8 mile round trip. Since then OH have been out at a local curtain shop, arranging to buy curtains for the recently decorated lounge...

Re: Another Good Morning to All

Greetings to Spring Dragon. All friends are welcome here. Please come back.

Hope that the identification of 3Wells's health difficulty will lead either to a long term cure or, treatment that will ease her discomfort.

Re: Another Good Morning to All

In my case, the Art Group meets in the local Church Hall and, was 'advertised' on the notice board outside and, the Church website. I found out about the Active Retirement Group from someone at the Art Group. The walking group was sheer luck, running into someone while I was on a solo walk. The book...
