Odd that ... Ive had a load of leaflets through my door for block paving ... But its not my paving (Pedestrian estate and this courtyard is Coincil Ground). Council has been instructed (The look-after-the-Old-Geezer-Dept ordered Council). I wonder if Council Contractor thinks that I'm paying...

I'm in then!
OH has just decided to have the front pull in & courtyard re-tarmac-ed.
It's mayhem here.
It's a beautiful Autumn day.

Is there only us three here? Perhaps we should Gain attention by doing something Wild and Impetuous - just as son as I think of something...

It's cold in here... If somebody left the door open. They've all escaped.

I have one of the mini weather-station clocks, Temps, Barometer and Wind-speed. (It was from Maplin a few years back). The sender is on the wall of a shed in the garden and the receiver is just inside the kitchen door. Interesting. But the wind-speed is not that accurate. The small rotating cups on the anemometer doesn't help :)

Quite wild overnight here ... windy, and very heavy rain. Sounds similar. Clear skies, but the mercury has fallen, and I do mean "the mercury", we now have my parents' old genuine mercury barometer, a lovely instrument.

We're still here, but refined.
Heavy rain overnight, but the sky is clearing now.

Hi. I wondered what had happened to this thread.
If its a grey day, you have talked me out of going out.

Today is also grey & drizzling too.
I have two visiting pooches to go with the ones already here & the house feels full.

We are obsessed with the weather, well, I am.
I always wanted to be a meteorologist, but didn't get a good enough 'A' level in geography.
My OH & I often fall out over forecasting.

Today & grey & drizzling.

Odd innit, how English (OK, don't know about Irish) revert back to the weather... I have had no sign of rain/storm/petulance here. Usually when I read of other parts of the country getting wet, there is some cloud and darkness, but up till last night it has been Clear and Sunny - and last night was oppressively Warm. Hence a late arising.. but Dark this a.m, and radio news was talk of a train derailment in floods only fifty miles or less, distance.

I may be AWOL for awhile. Pooter needs repair.

Greetings.
Just to say, no rain around here at present.
It seems cataclysmic in other places.
May you all stay safe & dry.

For what it's worth ... no workmen expected here either! Just planning the next three weeks' work via video conference ... (I mean "day job" work, I'm afraid I'm still on that treadmill)
