Could you all keep your fingers crossed, please. I have to be out for most of the morning/afternoon. After 10 hours of non-stop rain. It's dry at the moment. It looks like we may even have some sunshine later. Being dry is - for me at least - much better than being soaked.

Good Morning people,

I'm up eating toast, drinking coffee and watching CNN news coverage of the people protests in Charlotte, NC.

I have a cousin who lives there. She has done for years. Her husband - before he retired - was a deputy fire chief.

HHMMMMnnnn... Theres a Famous Photy - about 1910 (No, don't ask me to find it) of the Sivertown Docks with an open top Double Deck Bus (No 101 I think) passing under The Bowsprit of a ship WAYYYY above bus level, that was parked in the Dock. A Truly enormous vessel, Much bigger than those tiny film/tv show the Pirates ship to be. Now I can Understand London Pirates being proud enough speak Cockney, but have no idea why a west country would be proud enough to advertise their tiny undersized West Country Ships.

It's a trade secret, GLO. I could tell you, but then I'd have to make you walk the plank. Or hang you from the yard-arms.

Will. :)

Thinks: Why are Pirates all with extreme West Country Accents? The most common source of Mariners is The Thames, Liverpool, Southampton. (yes I know theres some from Bristol and Swansea).

Ah! You know there's nothing you like more than setting up new servers. All that hair-pulling and head-banging when something doesn't work.

I have a server here, which started out back in the 90's as a RAID box. Since then the internal bits have all been swapped a couple of times at least. Messing with computers is half the fun. :)

Another Monday, I guess this means another week! Work task for this week: commission a brace of new servers for "virtualisation" ... I'll say no more.
